Frequently asked questions about our support services

Does your program support all disabilities?

Yes! Our program is a respite and support service for those with many types of disabilities.  We are open to anyone in need.

Do you accept DDA?

Yes! Contact your case manager and state that you would like to work with Autism Life Coaches.  We are a recreational support service.  

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept DDA, VENMO, Paypal, cash or check.  

What areas do you serve?

We provide respite in Whatcom, Skagit and King County (Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, Blaine, Mt. Vernon, Anacortes, Everett, Seattle). 

Do you deal with behaviors?

Yes! We are trained to deal with many forms of behaviors.  Aggressive behaviors must be discussed prior to the session. 

Do you do overnights?

Yes! Overnights are available.  This must be discussed and agreed upon with the life coach.  

Will you travel?

Yes, we do travel.  If we have the availability, and expenses are paid, we can travel with the client to provide respite.

Can the parents be present during the session?

Absolutely!  Our respite program is a support service and is specific to the individual's needs.  There may be at times where the life coach asks the parent to step away during an incident.   

What kind of outings do you do?

Examples of outings:

Play time (playground, sensory gyms, Sportsplex, trampoline parks)

Parent support (respite, mommy time, shopping, school events, medical appointments)

Student support

Fitness (gym, yoga, running)

Outdoors (hiking, camping)

Classes (educational, recreational)

Swimming (open water swim, kayaking, paddle boarding)
